Rachmat Irianto reveals emotional reason for leaving Persib Bandung

Rachmat Irianto officially ends his tenure with Persib Bandung — the club announced this on June 12.

The midfielder who joined Maung Bandung since the 2022-2023 season has made significant contributions — delivering two consecutive Liga 1 titles in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons.

“There are two sacrifices made, first I’m leaving this city after delivering two achievements, and second I lost my father while wearing Persib’s jersey,” stated Irianto.

The decision to leave Bandung’s pride was made with personal considerations — the desire to accompany his mother becomes the main reason for his departure.
