Rachmat Irianto returns to Persebaya to fulfill father’s last wish

Rachmat Irianto officially rejoins Persebaya Surabaya — the announcement was made through the club’s official Instagram account yesterday.

The 25-year-old player ends his three-season adventure with Persib Bandung — a period marked by two Liga 1 titles while being a key figure in Maung Bandung’s defense line.

The decision to return to his former club was inspired by his late father Bejo Sugiantoro’s message, who passed away about four months ago.

“I want to fulfill my late father’s wish to bring Persebaya to Liga 1 championship,” stated Irianto.
