Quartararo Struggles at Italian GP, Finishes 14th

Fabio Quartararo experienced a significant performance drop at the Italian GP — the French rider only managed to finish 14th after starting from fourth position on the grid.

Bike chattering issues were the main cause of his struggles in the sprint race, while different conditions emerged during the main race. “When grip is very low, our bike is really difficult to control in direction changes,” explained the 2021 world champion.

“We made a step forward, but as we can see today, the step we made is not progress — it looks like a step backwards,” said Quartararo.

The Yamaha rider acknowledged that his performance at traditionally favorable tracks has declined. Despite achieving pole positions in several previous rounds, race results fell far short of expectations — a situation that requires the team to conduct a thorough evaluation of their bike’s performance.
