Quartararo stays optimistic despite Yamaha’s struggles ahead of MotoGP Americas 2025

Fabio Quartararo maintains a positive attitude ahead of the 2025 MotoGP Americas — despite the Monster Energy Yamaha team still being far from their best performance.

The French rider has had a challenging start to the season — even trailing behind Prima Pramac Yamaha satellite team newcomer Jack Miller in both practice sessions and races.

The Circuit of The Americas (COTA) presents its own challenges with physically demanding track characteristics — featuring more left-hand turns and bumpy surfaces throughout the 5.51-kilometer circuit.

For the 2021 world champion, the challenge becomes even more significant considering Yamaha hasn’t secured a victory at the American circuit in the past decade.

Despite these obstacles, Quartararo remains determined to extract the maximum performance from his bike — Yamaha’s ongoing struggles with acceleration and top speed continue to be key concerns, but the team is working on improvements.

The race at COTA will be a crucial test to assess whether Yamaha can close the gap to its rivals and regain competitiveness.
