Quartararo optimistic about Yamaha’s V4 engine development for MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo shares his perspective on the current Yamaha team situation — all riders have shown maximum performance and the technical team is starting to deliver meaningful improvements.

The French rider currently holds tenth position in the MotoGP world championship standings — trailing behind representatives from Ducati, Aprilia, KTM, and Honda. Nevertheless, his performance remains superior to his teammate Alex Rins who sits eight positions below.

“I think all riders are giving their best. Now, the technicians can give us something more,” states Quartararo.

In MotoGP/500cc history, no rider has managed to reclaim the championship title after a gap of more than three years — the longest record is held by Casey Stoner with a four-year gap between 2007 and 2011.

Yamaha is currently developing a new V4 engine that will be tested by test rider Augusto Fernandez — its debut is planned through a wild card entry at the end of this season.
