Quartararo keeps expectations low ahead of German MotoGP main race

Fabio Quartararo reveals his realistic outlook ahead of the 2025 German MotoGP main race — the Yamaha rider is not setting high targets after considering his bike’s performance.

“I expected to lose positions in the next lap, but honestly I maintained a good rhythm and this was a surprise,” stated Quartararo.

The 26-year-old rider faced pressure from Diggia in the final laps — a situation that led him to make several mistakes amid challenging track conditions.

“It was still slightly wet, but when some parts started to dry we struggled. However, I think it was good to experience this feeling, especially on the wet track,” he explained.

Previously, the French rider showed pessimism towards the YZR-M1 — a motorcycle deemed to have many weaknesses compared to Ducati’s speed.
