Quartararo Issues Ultimatum to Yamaha Regarding His MotoGP Future

Fabio Quartararo offered a brief response to team boss Paolo Pavesio’s statement about Yamaha’s plans to use V4 engine in 2026 — his MotoGP future depends on the team’s decision to provide a competitive motorcycle.

Despite being loyal to Yamaha since his MotoGP debut in 2019, the French rider has shown his disappointment recently. Impressive qualifying performance with four pole positions since April contrasts sharply with disappointing race results.

“They know exactly what they need to do to keep me. Honestly, I don’t care whether it’s V4 or not, I just want a competitive bike for next year,” stated Quartararo.

Relations with the team are becoming tenser despite finishing third in the sprint race. The 26-year-old rider showed his frustration physically during free practice and German GP warm-up — hitting his motorcycle due to technical issues encountered.
