Quartararo Faces Technical Issues at Italian GP Despite Impressive Qualifying

Fabio Quartararo faces a challenging weekend at the Italian GP — an impressive qualifying turned into a disappointing race due to unexpected technical issues.

The 2021 MotoGP champion secured fourth place in qualifying despite a shoulder injury. However, his race performance was hampered by unusual vibration issues with his bike.

“Chatter is the main issue. All the parts we need to go fast weren’t working properly,” stated Quartararo. “What’s worrying is that this vibration only appears during the race.”

The Yamaha rider emphasized that his shoulder injury wasn’t the cause of this poor result. The main issue was uncompetitive straight-line speed — making it easy for Ducati bikes to pass him on the straights.

“Too easy for them to overtake. We are getting better but still miss performance,” added Quartararo about Ducati’s dominance.

Due to these technical challenges, the French rider lost his position and finished without points after losing to Fermin Aldeguer in the final laps of the sprint race.
