Qatar defeats South Korea to claim AVC Nations Cup 2025 bronze

Qatar men’s national volleyball team secured the bronze medal at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 in Isa bin Rashid Hall, Bahrain — defeating South Korea in straight sets 3-0 (21-25, 20-25, 25-23).

The match was intense from the first set’s opening moments, with Qatar building a 12-9 lead — though South Korea kept the pressure on, closing the gap to 12-10.

Milos Stevanovic and Cha Yeong-seok emerged as key players in the match, with precise serves and quick attacks keeping the game competitive. Qatar maintained their momentum to reach set point at 24-20.

South Korea, having previously claimed bronze medals in 2023 and 2024 editions — had to end their podium streak after this decisive defeat.
