Qatar Defeats Australia in AVC Nations Cup 2025

The national volleyball team of Qatar secured their position at the top of the group standings after defeating Australia with a convincing 3-0 score (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) at Isa Bin Rashed Hall, Manama, Bahrain.

This Group B match featured Qatar with nearly unchanged team composition since last year’s AVC Challenge Cup — a squad that demonstrated their dominance on the court.

The Australian team relied on their players’ physical advantage, including two towering liberos:

• Jackson Holland at 190 cm tall
• Timothy Ebbs at 198 cm tall

Although the match started tight with both teams exchanging points, Qatar managed to build a lead — exploiting gaps in Australia’s floor defense to secure a straight-set victory.
