PT LIB rejects AFF’s request regarding Persib and Dewa United

President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Ferry Paulus held an impromptu press conference at LIB office Jakarta today — addressing the rejection of AFF’s recommendation for Persib Bandung and Dewa United.

AFF previously requested Liga 1 2024/2025 champion and runner-up to represent Indonesia in ASEAN Club Championship 2025/2026 — however PT LIB declined this request based on existing agreement with PSSI.

According to current regulations, Malut United and Persebaya Surabaya who finished third and fourth in Liga 1 — are entitled to represent Indonesia in ASEAN-level competition, while first and second positions are directed to AFC competitions.
