PSSI targets talent scouting system to be operational within three months

Erick Thohir, PSSI Chairman, has set a three-month deadline to operationalize Indonesia’s football talent scouting system.

PSSI has established a talent scouting department led by Simon Tahamata — an Ajax Amsterdam and Netherlands national team legend who was appointed about a month ago.

“In the next three months, we will ensure the talent scouting system is running,” stated Erick Thohir through a video on his personal Instagram account.

The system will cover talent search for various national team levels:

  • U-17 National Team
  • U-20 National Team
  • U-23 National Team
  • Senior National Team

The new department is expected to discover and develop young talents — who will become the backbone of Indonesia’s national team.
