PSSI Respects AFC’s Decision on 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Host

According to Bolasport.com, AFC has announced Saudi Arabia and Qatar as hosts for the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers — a decision that has drawn various responses from participating nations.

This appointment has sparked strong reactions from four other participating countries — Indonesia, Iraq, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates who previously expressed interest in hosting.

Arya Sinulingga, PSSI Executive Committee member, conveyed Indonesia’s stance of respecting the decision despite having unexpressed public disagreements.

“Regarding the fourth round host, we certainly have our steps planned. Next, we will strive to succeed in the bidding process,” stated Arya Sinulingga during the TV One Democracy Notes program.
