PSSI holds FIFA referee training ahead of Super League 2025-2026 season

PSSI is organizing the FIFA MA Course Super League referee training in Bogor, West Java — a preparation program ahead of the 2025-2026 Super League competition season.

The program running from July 12-16, 2025 involves 31 referees and 46 assistant referees — all selected based on their previous season’s performance evaluation.

Yoshimi Ogawa, Deputy of PSSI Referee Committee, stated that this year’s training materials have seen substantial improvements. FIFA technical instructor Subkhiddin Mohd Salleh — who recently officiated up to the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semifinals — delivers a special session in this training.

The training introduces latest technological innovations in refereeing:

  • Implementation of referee-mounted cameras
  • Artificial intelligence application for offside decisions

Super League, transformed from Liga 1, is scheduled to begin on August 8.
