PSSI hasn’t organized FA Cup despite regular President’s Cup

Erick Thohir as PSSI chairman has not yet established the Indonesian FA Cup — despite successfully organizing the President’s Cup on an annual basis.

Currently, Indonesian football competition relies only on a four-tier league system — unlike neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Thailand that already have FA Cup tournaments.

The 2025 President’s Cup will be the seventh edition since President Joko Widodo’s era — this time with the innovation of inviting foreign clubs.
