PSSI Exco member denies meeting on foreign player restrictions

According to BolaSport.com, Rudi Yulianto as PSSI Exco member denies any meeting discussing the reduction of foreign players in Super League 2025/2026 — this statement contradicts previous announcements.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir has instructed league operator I.League to reduce foreign player quota to seven players on field — this policy differs from the Shareholders General Meeting (RUPS) results held 10 days ago.

The Super League clubs’ RUPS agreed on different regulations:

  • 11 foreign players allowed to register
  • 8 foreign players permitted to play in one match

“There was never any PSSI Exco meeting,” Rudi Yulianto confirmed firmly.
