PSS Sleman loses in first match back at Maguwoharjo Stadium

PSS Sleman suffered a 0-1 defeat against Dewa United in their first match back at Maguwoharjo Stadium during week 29 of Liga 1 2024/25.

The Java Eagles — who remain stuck at the bottom of the standings — failed to capitalize on the support of 13,000 fans who filled 60 percent of their home stadium’s capacity.

The performance of Hokky Caraka’s team had been hampered by playing as a traveling team since last season — when Maguwoharjo Stadium underwent renovations, forcing them to temporarily base at Manahan Stadium.

PSS Sleman became the last team to return to their original home after stadium renovations were completed — but their debut result in front of loyal supporters fell short against the league’s second-placed team.
