PSIS Semarang Sack Gilbert Agius, Ruxi Speaks Out

Liga 1 Indonesia club PSIS Semarang has officially parted ways with head coach Gilbert Agius on Tuesday (April 29, 2025), a move that has revealed internal issues within the club.

The management of Laskar Mahesa Jenar stated that the dismissal was due to the team’s ongoing poor performance. PSIS Semarang currently sits in the relegation zone after failing to win any of their last 10 matches.

Former PSIS player Roger Bonet, popularly known as Ruxi, voiced his concerns on social media following Agius’ dismissal.

“After several months of having his rights ignored, now they blame him and sack him. Disgraceful. Please respect the players and coaches more,” Ruxi wrote on his Instagram story.

Ruxi, who also left the club earlier, claimed that Gilbert Agius faced the same issues — including unpaid wages from the club management.
