Facing Semen Padang in week 29 of Liga 1, PSIS Semarang experienced a dramatic injury time defeat — a situation that worsened the condition of the team already plagued by financial problems.

The team led by Yoyok Sukawi was forced to play without their two foreign players, Roger Bonet and Evandro Brandao, who decided to leave due to salary payment delays. Their former player, Vitinho, also revealed that his salary from the previous season remains unpaid.

During the match, Bruno Gomes initially put Semen Padang ahead in the first half — but his goal was disallowed by VAR for offside after he won the ball from Joao Ferrari. The second half was more intense, with both teams fighting to avoid the relegation zone trading goals.
