PSIS Semarang Fires Gilbert Agius, Former Player Reveals Shocking Fact

Coach Dismissed After Series of Poor Performances

Indonesian Liga 1 club PSIS Semarang officially terminated their cooperation with head coach Gilbert Agius on Tuesday (29/4), following a string of disappointing results that have left the team in the relegation zone.

Former Player Claims Salary Not Paid for Months

In a surprising turn, former PSIS foreign player Roger Bonet, also known as Ruxi, alleged that Agius had not been paid his salary for four to five months.

“This man didn’t get paid for 4-5 months. Respect,” Ruxi posted on his official Instagram account, showing support for the Maltese coach.

Official Statement from Club Management

President Director of PT Mahesa Jenar Semarang, Agung Buwono, issued an official statement on the club’s website:

“Today we made the decision to dismiss coach Gilbert due to results that did not meet expectations. And we thank coach Gilbert for his dedication so far.”

With no wins in their last 10 matches, PSIS Semarang has appointed Ridwan as the caretaker coach until the end of the season as they fight to avoid relegation.
