PSIS Fires Gilbert Agius After 10 Winless Matches

PSIS Semarang has officially dismissed Gilbert Agius from his role as head coach, as confirmed through the club’s official website. The decision follows a poor run of form in the 2024-2025 Liga 1 season.

The Mahesa Jenar side had failed to secure a win in their last 10 matches — including a heavy 2-5 defeat to Borneo FC at Jatidiri Stadium four days ago.

“Today, we decided to part ways with coach Gilbert due to results that did not meet expectations,” said Agung Buwono, CEO of PT Mahesa Jenar Semarang.

The club has not yet announced a replacement, but an official statement is expected in the near future.
