PSIM Yogyakarta signs five new players including national team defender

PSIM Yogyakarta demonstrates their serious intent for Liga 1 2025-2026 preparation — the club announced five new players simultaneously on Saturday (26/6).

Following the earlier signings of Nermin Haljeta and Ze Valente, Laskar Mataram further strengthens their squad with five Liga 1 experienced recruits.

The five players joining are:
– Kasim Botan from Persebaya
– Andy Irfan from Madura United
– Muhammad Iqbal
– Riyatno Abiyoso
– Andy Setyo

The arrival of these five players — particularly Andy Setyo who is an Indonesian national team defender — shows PSIM’s ambition to compete effectively in Indonesia’s top-flight football.
