PSIM Yogyakarta Faces Home Venue Dilemma for Next Liga 1 Season

PSIM Yogyakarta is facing a dilemma in determining their home base for the Liga 1 2025/2026 competition — a situation that forces the club to seek several venue alternatives.

Mandala Krida Stadium, which serves as the team’s main home, does not meet standards — especially for night matches due to limited facilities.

Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman emerges as a primary option due to its adequate facilities — however, it must share usage with PSS Sleman who will compete in Liga 2.

Wendy Umar Seno Aji, PSIM’s Implementation Committee Chairman, revealed the team is considering Manahan Stadium as another alternative.

“If scheduling conflicts occur, PSIM will have to find other alternative venues,” said Wendy.

The stadium determination process still requires further coordination — considering the numerous parties that must be involved in decision-making.
