PSG Too Strong, Inter Miami Eliminated from Club World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) demonstrated their class by defeating Inter Miami 4-0 in the Club World Cup round of 16 match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta.

PSG’s dominance was evident from the start — Luis Enrique’s team took the lead through João Neves who capitalized on Vitinha’s free kick in the fifth minute.

Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates struggled to match the Champions League winners’ gameplay. The quality gap between both teams became more apparent when the scoreboard showed 4-0 for PSG at halftime.

“Honestly, they are the best footballers these days. I know how they work because I’ve had Luis Enrique as a coach,” stated Jordi Alba after the match.

Despite the heavy defeat, Inter Miami achieved a milestone as the only MLS club to reach the knockout stage of this tournament. This success becomes valuable experience for the team entering just their sixth season in professional football.
