PSG ready to face Chelsea in FIFA Club World Cup final

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will face Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup final at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey — a match that presents an opportunity to complete their remarkable season.

Luis Enrique emphasizes that PSG has evolved into a “team of stars” following the departures of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar. The team has already claimed the Champions League, Ligue 1, and Coupe de France titles in the 2024-25 season.

“We have 11 stars — that’s football. We don’t just want one main player. We want 11 stars, maybe 14-15 in our squad,” stated Enrique.

PSG reached the final after defeating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinal. Team captain Marquinhos — who has been with the club since 2013 — considers the current team as the best collective unit in his PSG career.

“In terms of results, this is definitely the best team I have been in at PSG. I have played with amazing players, but taking it all into consideration, this is the team that has done most collectively,” said Marquinhos.
