PSG advances to Club World Cup Round of 16 after defeating Seattle Sounders

Luis Enrique’s PSG advanced to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 after defeating Seattle Sounders 2-0 at Lumen Field, Seattle.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Achraf Hakimi became Les Parisiens’ heroes — with Kvaratskhelia’s unique back-heel goal opening the scoring for the team.

From the start, PSG demonstrated their dominance with continuous attacks on Seattle Sounders’ defense — though the first clear chance came only in the 30th minute through Desire Doue’s shot, which was saved by goalkeeper Stefan Frei.

PSG finally broke the deadlock five minutes later through Kvaratskhelia’s effort, leading the French team to finish top of Group B with six points.
