PSBS Biak experiences mass exodus of star players to Persipura Jayapura

Following the departure of former owner Owen Rahadian to Persipura Jayapura about a month ago — PSBS Biak now faces a serious crisis ahead of the Liga 1 2025-2026 season.

Several PSBS Biak star players have decided to join Persipura Jayapura who will compete in Liga 2, following Owen Rahadian who now serves as the club’s new manager.

“An additional goalkeeper is still in process. Young goalkeeper Isak Payage will be transferred to the U20 team to gain more playing time, as suggested by Manager Owen Rahadiyan,” stated Persipura Chairman, Benhur Tomi Mano.

“We trust the preparations made by Mr. Owen and Coach Ricardo Salampessy, hopefully everything goes well and smooth,” he added.
