Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has addressed Mauricio Pochettino’s statement expressing his desire to return as manager of the North London club.

Pochettino — currently in charge of the United States national team — last month revealed his ambition to return to the club he once led to a Champions League final. This statement comes amid Tottenham’s difficult period, currently sitting in 14th place in the Premier League standings.

“If Mauricio wants to come back one day, I hope it happens for him. We all have dreams and aspirations,” said Postecoglou.

Spurs face a packed schedule with matches against Chelsea, Southampton, and Frankfurt in the Europa League. Amid speculation about his future, Postecoglou remains focused on his responsibilities.

“I don’t deal with it. I was brought in to change the way the club plays, rejuvenate the squad, and bring success. That’s what I’ll keep doing,” he added.

Regarding team conditions, Richarlison has returned to training following a calf issue but is unlikely to feature against Chelsea. Meanwhile, Kevin Danso and Dejan Kulusevski are confirmed to miss at least the next three matches.
