Superstar Post Malone Announced as EWC 2025 Opening Act

The Esports World Cup 2025 Committee in Saudi Arabia has dropped another surprise, announcing rapper Post Malone as the headliner for the tournament’s opening ceremony on July 10th.

Posty is no stranger to global gaming and esports. He’s known for regularly playing Call of Duty on his personal channels and became a shareholder in Envy Gaming in 2020. Since then, Envy joined with OpTic Gaming (formerly Native Gaming), expanding its reach across multiple esports titles.

EWC’s Chief Operating Officer, Mike McCabe, welcomed Post Malone’s involvement. He expects the entertainment to bridge esports fans with pop culture, hip-hop, and other music genres.

“With Post Malone, a global artist and true gamer, opening the tournament, we continue to celebrate the power of music — a universal language that brings fans together and defines the cultural future of esports.”

Post Malone’s appearance is a part of the EWC Foundation’s music strategy. This initiative invites global communities to submit their original songs. Curated tracks will be included in the event’s official music package and played during broadcasts and live events.

The EWC Foundation has confirmed more musical artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
