Portugal Wins Nations League after Defeating Spain on Penalties

According to UEFA.com, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal national team won the UEFA Nations League 2024-2025 after defeating Spain on penalties at Allianz Arena.

The final match was intense — Spain took the lead through Martin Zubimendi’s goal in the 21st minute, but Nuno Mendes equalized five minutes later.

Mikel Oyarzabal put La Furia Roja back in front just before halftime, however Cristiano Ronaldo ensured a 2-2 draw with his goal in the 61st minute.

After extra time produced no additional goals — Portugal finally secured the title with a 5-3 victory in the penalty shootout.

This victory has Portugal now targeting a new goal — becoming World Cup 2026 champions.
