Poor Transition and Malaysian Pressure a Tough Test for Indonesia U-23

Indonesia U-23 once again failed to capitalize on transitions from defense to attack during their clash against Malaysia. In the 79th minute, Hokky Caraka carried the ball forward but held it too long, allowing Malaysian defenders to intercept.

A follow-up pass aimed at Victor Dethan was too high to control, resulting in another broken attack. The Indonesian frontline continued to struggle to penetrate Malaysia’s well-organized defense.

Moments later, Indonesia came close to conceding. Under Malaysia’s intense pressing, Indonesian players lost composure. The ball was snatched and fired from distance, but luckily the shot went wide of goalkeeper Ardiansyah’s post.
