Police Raid Buenos Aires Clinic in Maradona Death Case

Police Raid Buenos Aires Clinic in Maradona Death Case

In a significant development related to the death of football legend Diego Maradona, police executed a sudden raid at the Los Olivos clinic in Buenos Aires. This was done under a court order to seize all medical records connected to Maradona’s treatment, as part of the ongoing trial of seven healthcare workers accused of negligence in his death.

Details of the Medical Records Seized

Pablo Dimitroff, the medical director of Los Olivos clinic, testified that Maradona had undergone pre-surgical examinations and surgery by a neurosurgeon, both of which were without complications. However, these crucial examination results were not included in Maradona’s official medical history, raising further questions about the care he received.

Raid and Discovery of Key Documents

The raid, which lasted four hours, successfully secured approximately 275 pages of medical archives, as well as 547 emails exchanged between the medical professionals currently facing trial. These documents are believed to contain key evidence related to Maradona’s medical treatment leading up to his death.

The Final Days of Maradona’s Life

After undergoing surgery to remove a hematoma between his skull and brain, Maradona was treated in the intensive care unit at Los Olivos clinic. Despite the medical intervention, he tragically passed away at the age of 60, raising suspicions about the adequacy of his care during his final days.
