Pit Lane Incident Between Hulkenberg and Stroll at Belgian GP Ends Without Penalties

Nico Hulkenberg and Lance Stroll were involved in a pit lane incident during Belgian GP qualifying — a collision that resulted in damage to the Sauber’s front wing.

Hulkenberg argued that the Aston Martin driver should have yielded when their cars made contact.

“I think when you have a front wheel crossing that white line between the fast lane and slow lane, the next driver is supposed to let you in. My tire was there, so I thought he would give space,” explained Hulkenberg.

Stroll had a different view of the incident:

“I was just doing my thing in the queue. I didn’t have to let him in because I was in the queue,” stated the Aston Martin driver.

After reviewing the incident, stewards decided no further action was necessary — determining that no driver was predominantly at fault in the collision.
