Pit Beirer harshly criticizes Jorge Martin’s plan to leave Aprilia early

Manager Albert Valera revealed that Jorge Martin plans to terminate his contract early with Aprilia — making the rider a free agent for the 2025 MotoGP season.

This decision sparked controversy as Martin had previously signed a contract with Aprilia until the end of the 2026 season — putting the Italian manufacturer in a disadvantageous position.

KTM Motorsport Boss, Pit Beirer, delivered harsh criticism of Martin’s plan.

“The situation is very concerning. That contracts are not being respected is unacceptable in any way,” stated Beirer.

“Manufacturers have invested enormous amounts in MotoGP projects, and riders are very important strategic components. This is not a game!” he added.
