Piala Presiden 2025 opens without President Prabowo Subianto’s attendance

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir confirms that President Prabowo Subianto will not attend the opening ceremony of Piala Presiden 2025 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.

The opening ceremony scheduled for 7:00 PM will be immediately followed by a match between Liga Indonesia All Stars and Oxford United — a team featuring two Indonesian national team players, Marselino Ferdinan and Ole Romeny.

Oxford United under Gary Rowett’s guidance will face the Liga Indonesia All Stars squad coached by Rahmad Darmawan — a team composed of Liga 1 local stars.

The organizers are offering affordable ticket prices to realize the concept of a people’s celebration in this tournament.
