Philippines women’s volleyball team defeats Kazakhstan at AVC Nations Cup 2025

The Philippines women’s volleyball team under Jorge Edson Souza De Brito defeated Kazakhstan in their final Group B match of AVC Nations Cup 2025 at Dong Anh Gymnasium, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Led by Gia De Guzman, the Philippine squad showed dominant performance — securing a straight-set victory with scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-19.

Mhicaela Belen emerged as the star player with 16 points, while for Kazakhstan — Tatyana Nikitina displayed impressive gameplay despite her team’s loss.

This victory propelled Philippines to the top of Group B with 13 points from five matches, leading Kazakhstan by one point who previously topped the group.
