Philadelphia Union Leads MLS Power Rankings, Inter Miami Drops to Second

According to ESPN’s latest report, Philadelphia Union now leads the 2025 MLS Power Rankings — displacing Inter Miami to second position after securing a 1-1 draw against Houston Dynamo.

Philadelphia Union demonstrates impressive consistency — remaining difficult to defeat despite rotating players against Houston Dynamo. Meanwhile, Inter Miami bounced back from their loss against Cincinnati thanks to Lionel Messi’s brilliant performance contributing two goals in a 5-1 victory over New York Red Bulls.

Nashville SC holds firm in third place after securing two consecutive wins — defeating Columbus Crew 3-0 and Toronto FC 1-0. BJ Callaghan’s team has only suffered one defeat since April.

Current top five in MLS Power Rankings:

  • Philadelphia Union (up from 2nd)
  • Inter Miami CF (down from 1st)
  • Nashville SC (stays at 3rd)
  • San Diego FC (stays at 4th)
  • Columbus Crew (stays at 5th)

Significant changes occurred in the bottom zone — Atlanta United slumped to 29th position after losing 3-2 to Charlotte FC, while DC United remains stranded at the bottom following their defeat to Columbus Crew.
