Phil Parkinson tegaskan kebijakan transfer Wrexham tanpa superstar di Championship

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson reaffirmed the team’s “no superstars, no egos” transfer strategy after securing promotion to the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic at Stok Cae Ras.

Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were present to witness Wrexham make history as the first club in English football to achieve three consecutive promotions.

“Our goal is to reach the Premier League,” said Reynolds after the match.

Parkinson — who has now achieved six promotions in his managerial career — stressed the need for caution in player recruitment, noting that the Championship is “one of the most competitive leagues in world football.”

“The jump to the Championship is massive. Player wages skyrocket. The most important thing is to preserve the club culture — no superstars, no egos in the dressing room,” explained Parkinson.

Responding to rumors linking Jamie Vardy and Kevin De Bruyne to Wrexham, Parkinson denied any internal discussions regarding the two players. The team’s primary focus remains evaluating the budget and improving quality while maintaining their established culture.
