Phil Foden Opens Man City’s Scoring at FIFA Club World Cup 2025

According to DAZN Football, Phil Foden needed less than two minutes to open Manchester City’s scoring account in their 2-0 victory over Wydad AC at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Philadelphia.

Foden’s opener — his first goal since January — came after Savinho’s shot rebounded into the penalty area. Jeremy Doku then doubled City’s lead just before halftime.

Despite trailing, Wydad AC supporters maintained incredible support — creating a festive atmosphere with non-stop drums and chanting at the half-filled Lincoln Financial Field.

City’s victory was slightly marred by a red card shown to Rico Lewis late in the game after a hard tackle on Samuel Obeng, though he appeared to win the ball first.
