The PGL competition committee has just enforced new regulations regarding a code of conduct within their competitive circuits, which are now being implemented in the ongoing PGL Wallachia Season 4.

According to a social media post citing the tournament’s official rules, players are now prohibited from using allchat for taunting or provocative messages. Only the phrases “GG” and “GLHF” are permitted now, with no additional text allowed.

The committee emphasized that violations by players or teams will result in warnings or penalties. However, the exact nature of these punishments remains unclear.

These rules are most likely enforced as a response to community backlash over incidents in previous seasons. Notably, during PGL Wallachia Season 2, the Dota community was shocked by violent threats made by Avulus’ support player, Akbar “SoNNeiko” Butaev, against Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf. Reports claimed that SoNNeiko’s outburst was triggered by ATF’s trash talk during the match.

The new rules have drawn mixed reactions from PGL Wallachia Season 4 viewers. Some hope it will curb toxic behavior by pro players, which often influences casuals, while others argue it dampens the excitement of Dota’s rivalry-driven atmosphere.
