Peter Auto Launches Le Mans Legends Series for 2010s Era Race Cars

Peter Auto announces the launch of a new racing series featuring LMP1 and LMP2 cars from the mid-2010s era — the series will be part of next season’s World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Managing Director of Peter Auto, Marc Ouayoun, explains that this initiative emerges from young generation’s high interest in modern cars. “We see young people are more fascinated by 2000s cars that are now 25 years old,” he states.

“We have the Ferrari F430, Pescarolo, and more recent ones like the Peugeot 908, all Audi LMP1s, Zytek, and Corvettes — these cars sound amazing and are already iconic,” adds Ouayoun.

Le Mans Classic will become an annual event with two different formats:

  • Le Mans Classic Heritage for pre-1975 cars
  • Le Mans Classic Legend for newer era cars

As a further development, Peter Auto also announces partnership with SRO to organize GT3 Revival Series — a competition specifically for GT3 cars produced between 2006 and 2013.
