Persis Solo Still Connected to Malaysian Football After Ong Kim Swee Era

Laskar Sambernyawa maintains its connection with Malaysian football — despite parting ways with coach Ong Kim Swee. The club owned by Kaesang Pangarep previously managed to avoid relegation in last season’s Liga 1.

Datuk Ong Kim Swee recorded a decent performance with Persis Solo — achieving seven victories and eight draws from 23 matches played. However, the club management decided not to extend the Malaysian coach’s contract.

After leaving Persis Solo, Ong Kim Swee chose to join Liga 1 rival — Persik Kediri. Meanwhile, Persis Solo management has been dropping hints through social media with windmill symbols pointing to a possible Dutch coach arrival.
