Persis Solo signals arrival of Dutch coach for next season

Persis Solo has given strong indication about plans to bring in a Dutch coach — this was revealed through the club’s official social media post featuring windmills and tulip fields with the caption ‘soon’.

This move comes after Ong Kim Swee left his position as Laskar Sambernyawa’s coach. If realized, Persis Solo will follow the path of other Liga 1 clubs that have already brought in coaches from the Netherlands — Jean-Paul van Gastel at PSIM Yogyakarta and Johnny Jansen at Bali United.

Additionally, the club announced the contract extension of Brazilian defender Cleylton Santos until 2027. The number 70 player becomes the second foreign player retained after Sho Yamamoto for the 2025-2026 season preparations.
