Persik Kediri appoints former Malaysia national team coach for Liga 1

Persik Kediri has announced the appointment of Ong Kim Swee as their new head coach — the former Malaysia national team architect will lead the White Tigers squad in Liga 1 for the 2025/2026 season.

The announcement came after the club provided hints through social media yesterday — posting tiger stripes imagery and the Malayan Tiger emblem that symbolizes Malaysian football.

“A hint. Want to guess?” Persik wrote in their Instagram post.

This decision is part of the club’s preparation for the new season — where Persik Kediri has also introduced several new players to strengthen the team.
