Persijap Jepara signs Brazilian defender Douglas Nonato for Liga 1

Persijap Jepara is moving quickly in preparation for Liga 1 2025/2026 — the club has signed Brazilian defender Douglas Nonato Oliveira Cruz for a transfer fee of 2.2 billion rupiah per season.

The 190 cm tall player previously played for PSPS Pekanbaru in Liga 2 last season — his experience in Indonesian football was a key consideration in his recruitment.

“Although he comes from a Liga 2 team, according to the scouting division team after consulting with head coach Mario Lemos, they agreed that Douglas has the potential and capacity to strengthen Persijap’s defense in Liga 1,” said Club President M Iqbal Hidayat.
