Persija successfully frees Maciej Gajos from additional sanctions

According to Persija Jakarta’s statement, midfielder Maciej Gajos has successfully been cleared of additional sanctions previously imposed by PSSI’s Disciplinary Commission.

The Polish player initially faced a five-match suspension — following a straight red card received during the match against Arema FC about a month ago.

Persija immediately appealed the decision as they prepare to face Persebaya Surabaya this weekend. The PSSI Appeals Committee ultimately granted the request considering — Gajos had no intention to injure the opposing player and was merely attempting to control the ball.
