Persija Jakarta to welcome four new foreign players next season

According to BolaSport.com, Persija Jakarta Director Mohamad Prapanca revealed that coach Mauricio Souza will bring four new foreign players to strengthen Macan Kemayoran in Liga 1 for the 2025/2026 season.

The Brazilian coach is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on June 20, 2025 — likely accompanied by the four new foreign players.

The capital city team will begin their first training session in early July.

“He has chosen four foreign players to strengthen Persija this season,” said Prapanca during the Ngopi Bareng Persija event.

The club director revealed that the four new foreign players will fill winger and midfielder positions — though their identities remain confidential.
