Persija Jakarta Director, Mohamad Prapanca announced the club’s decision to release Riko Simanjuntak ahead of the Super League 2025/2026 competition, as reported by BolaSport.com.

Prapanca revealed that the release comes after the club received an attractive offer from another Indonesian club — though the interested club’s identity remains undisclosed.

Reports suggest that Riko Simanjuntak will continue his career with PSS Sleman, who will compete in Championship 2025/2026. Previously, the winger represented PSS Sleman on loan during the 2024/2025 season — however, his presence couldn’t prevent the club’s relegation from Indonesia’s top-flight football.
