Persija Jakarta extends Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo’s contract

According to Bolasport.com, Carlos Eduardo will remain part of Persija Jakarta for the 2025/2026 season — the club has decided to extend the Brazilian goalkeeper’s contract.

Persija Director, Mohamad Prapanca confirmed the contract extension for the 33-year-old goalkeeper — currently awaiting official announcement through club social media.

The Brazilian keeper has appeared in 18 Liga 1 matches in the 2024/2025 season — successfully displacing Andritany Ardhiyasa as the Macan Kemayoran’s primary goalkeeper.

“Carlos Eduardo requested a contract extension, we granted it,” said Prapanca.

Besides Eduardo, the capital city club is also considering contract extensions for Hansamu Yama and Hanif Sjahbandi — though no final decisions have been made for both players.
