Persija Jakarta delays announcement of new foreign players

Persija Jakarta — known as the Kemayoran Tigers — has yet to announce new foreign players for the Liga 1 2024/2025 competition.

The capital city team currently has only three foreign players consisting of Ryo Matsumura, Gustavo Almeida, and Carlos Eduardo — where Matsumura still has one season left on his contract, while Almeida and Eduardo have extended their contracts.

Persija management previously indicated they are targeting players from three countries — Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico to fill the remaining five foreign player slots.
